Tracy Johnston, friend and valued Matrix employee, passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 21, 2023. For the past three years, Tracy was a Chief Engineer for Matrix Research. He managed several efforts primarily in the area of Distributed Coherent RF. He was a leader and mentor to many at Matrix. Before joining Matrix, Tracy had a 40+ year career working for the United States Air Force which spanned various R&D programs on missile warning, anti-tamper, electronic warfare, PNT, RF sensors, and EO sensors. During his career, his strong work ethic and dynamic personality allowed him to advance from a technician all the way to Division Chief with a variety of leadership positions held along the way. His "larger than life" personality, leadership and organizational skill, and general sense of humor will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of working with him.
